James Morrison VS James Blunt

If James Morrison and James Blunt were on MTV’s celebrity deathmatch, who would win? Let’s be realistic here, obviously James Morrison would win for the mere fact that James Blunt sucks. I’m going to be more ‘blunt’ here and go out on a limb to say that his voice has no passion, his songs are mediocre at best, his music is just like every other kid off the block and no one really gives a $@ about who he’s looking at from across the room and thinks is beautiful. Don’t be fooled, he’s just a cookie cutter artist from the UK under the influence of a big bad record label who only cares if he can manage to pay back his recoupment fees.

On that note, I’ve been listening to James Morrison and am actually listening to him now. His soulful raspy voice brings something else to the the table than just catchy songs. I’m not gonna lie when I say his songs are not that original, but his voice is what makes it. Every song off of his debut album “Undiscovered” (released on Interscope) has caught my attention in some form or another. Two of my favorite songs are “The Pieces Don’t Fit Anymore” and “This Letter.” Thankfully I found a new soft soulful alternative acoustic rock artist. It’s time to put away the well overplayed John Mayer and Jason Mraz albums and replace them with James Morrison… can we call him Jim Morrison for short?

As for my James Blunt album?… that ones goes straight to the trash..
