It’s been a little over a month and after 148 emails, 26 apartments views and $4000 cash later, I found an apartment. Yup - this hunt is not for the weak minded or short tempered. You have to search and search and search.

Long story short, after looking to just “move in” to someone else’s apartment and start paying rent, I decided I was going to look for cool people, then do the search together. I found 3 girls on Craigslist and the search began. We saw about 4 apartments the first week, then about 8 on the weekend and with no hope, we got tired. Started looking again during the week and saw about 3 more… then finally, we saw 2 great apartments in 1 night! What luck. Well the first apartment wasn’t as good as the second one, so we put in an application the next day, and the following day heard the good news! It was 3 more days until we could sign the lease and get the keys.

Now I’m just waiting 2 weeks until I get to move in! WOOHOO! Anyone have a truck that’s located in the NYC area and wants to help me move? Free pizza and beer.
